The Romantic Gardens at Sanderumgaard have been awoken from 200 years of magic sleep and this does not go off quietly!
Erik and Susanne Vind have embarked upon what they call a “life project”, namely an elaborate restoration project of the old garden which was laid by Johan Bülow in the period 1795-1828. In May 2010 the garden opened to the public for paying guests. The restoration of the garden is funded by beneficial foundations and will be a process that goes on for a number of years. Maintenance of the garden will partly be financed through admission fees from the visitors to the garden and partly through voluntary efforts.
The Friends of Sanderumgaard’s Romantic Gardens is a newly founded society. The purpose of the society is to gather a group of people who are interested in the garden and who will support the many coming projects and events that are to take place here. The members will contribute with ideas for further developing the gardens and coming projects and events.
Erik and Susanne Vind would very much like Sanderumgaard to be important for the local society again as in Johan Bülow's days.
