Sanderumgaard

Sanderumgaard is a Funen manor house located 12 km southeast of Odense, close to the highway. Sanderumgaard is run as traditional agriculture and forestry with a total area of 900 hectares.

The history of the estate can be traced back to the 1400s, when the Odense fjord ran all the way down to this area. A large part of the estate's area is thus old drained fjord bed, and it is believed that this is where Sanderumgaard got its name.

In 2010, Susanne and Erik Vind opened the almost 200-year-old, 15-hectare historic manor house garden to the public after a major renovation. Since then, both spring and fall markets have been held in the garden, and it is now possible to hold parties and conferences in the historic buildings.

Products
from Sanderumgaard

At Sanderumgaard we grow and sell various vegetables and flowers, and in season you can buy asparagus, potatoes, onions, rhubarb and peonies as a farm sale, but our products are also starting to be available in stores around Denmark. Our potatoes are a regular assortment in Rema1000

In the garden there are about 7,500 peonies, making Sanderumgaard a place with many different and beautiful peonies. The first peonies were planted in the Romantic Garden in 1801 by the garden's founder Johan von Bülow, and today the Vind family has taken it further and created a collaboration with ProFlora, so it is now possible to buy our peonies in Danish flower shops.
